The Betab Valley is 15 km (9.3 mi) from Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. The valley runs northeast from Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwadi. The Betab Valley has become a very popular tourist attraction in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The valley forms a route for pilgrimages to visit the Amarnath temple. This valley was earlier known as Hagan Valley. The Betab Valley is known for its splendid beauty and attractive scenery, which includes high mountains covered with snow, pine, and deodar forests and a river flowing through the valley making people mesmerized.

 

History of Betab Valley

The Betab Valley is a part of the region of Kashmir, which was ruled by the Mughals in the 15th century. In the latter half of the 15th century, the Turco-Mughal military general Mirza Muhammad Haider Dudhlat ruled Kashmir before the succession of Sultan Said Khan of Kashgar and then by the Mughal emperor Humayun. Earlier this valley was known as Hagan Valley, but after the release of Betab starring Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh, this valley gained fame as Betab Valley. The valley remained an iconic place for shooting many romantic numbers in Bollywood films.

Pahalgam Golf Course: Another great attraction near the valley, Pahalgam Golf Course is located at a distance of 15 km from Betab Valley. Due to its surrounding scenery, climate and altitude, it is one of the most artistically pleasing golf courses.

Mamleshwar Temple

Mamleshwar Temple: This Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated at a short distance of 7.2 km from the Betab Valley in Kashmir, this Mamleshwar temple is one of the most revered temples in Pahalgam. There is always a crowd of devotees here to worship Lord Shiva.

Sheshnag Lake: Sheshnag Lake is one of the most beautiful and enchanting lakes in Kashmir. It attracts people from all over the world with its beauty. Located at an altitude of 3,590 meters.

What is The Best Time to Visit Betab Valley?

The time between October to April is considered the best time to visit the Betab Valley. During this time, the air is pleasant but with it, you get to see the best of Kashmir's desperate valley. The visitors normally spend 2 to 3 hours here. Seeing its enchanting, splendid beauty, it seems that the dream of tourists to roam in heaven is coming true here.

पहलगाम की Betab Valley (बेताब घाटी)

बेताब घाटी भारत के जम्मू-कश्मीर के अनंतनाग जिले के पहलगाम से १५ किमी (९.३ मिल )की दुरी पर आया है। घाटी पहलगाम से उत्तरपूर्व की ओर हे और पहलगाम और चंदनवाड़ी के बिच में पड़ती हे। बेताब घाटी जम्मू-कश्मीर के अनंतनाग जिले में पर्यटकों का अति लोकप्रिय आकर्षण बन गया है। घाटी अमरनाथ मंदिर की यात्रा के लिए जाने वाली तीर्थयात्रा के लिए एक मार्ग बनाती है। यह घाटी पहले हगन घाटी के नाम से जानी जाती थी। बेताब घाटी अपने भव्य सुंदरता और आकर्षक द्र्श्यो के लिए जानी जाती हे, जिसमे  बर्फ से ढके ऊँचे पर्वतो , पाइन और देवदार के जंगलो और लोगो को मंत्रमुग्थ बना देती घाटी में से बहने वाली नदी सामिल है।

Betab Valley (बेताब घाटी) का इतिहास

बेताब घाटी कश्मीर के क्षेत्र का एक भाग हे, यहां पे १५वी सदी में मुगलोंका शासन था। १५वी सदी के उत्तरार्द्ध में तुर्को-मुगल सैन्य जनरल मिर्जा मुहम्मद हैदर दुधलत  ने काश्गर के सुल्तान सैद खान और फिर मुगल सम्राट हुमायु की और से पहले कश्मीर पर शासन किया। यह समय में इस घाटी को हगन घाटी के नाम से जाना जाता था लेकिन सनी देओल और अमृता सिंह  द्वारा अभिनीत की गई  फ़िल्म बेताब की रिलीज के बाद इस घाटी को बेताब घाटी के नाम से ख्यातना मिली। यह घाटी बॉलीवुड फिल्म के कई रोमांटिक नंबरो के शूटिंग के लिए एक आइकोनिक जगह बनी रही।

अरू घाटी: अरू घाटी बेताब घाटी के नजदीक यात्रा करने के लिए एक आदर्श विकल्प है। अरू घाटी बेताब घाटी से 18.6 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित है। अरू घाटी  आपको अनएक्सप्लोर्ड पहाड़ियों और प्राचीन घाटियों के रमणीय आकर्षण को पकड़ने के लिए एक शांत स्थान प्रदान करता है। कुछ इसे बेताब घाटी की दर्पण छवि कहते हैं।

ममलेश्वर मंदिर

ममलेश्वर मंदिर: यह हिंदू मंदिर भगवान शिव को समर्पित है। कश्मीर में बेताब घाटी से 7.2 किमी की छोटी दूरी पर आया हुआ यह ममलेश्वर मंदिर पहलगाम में स्थित सबसे प्रतिष्ठित मंदिरों में से एक है। भगवन शिव की आराधना करने की लिए यहाँ पे श्रद्धालु की भीड़ हमेशा लगी रहती है। 

पहलगाम गोल्फ कोर्स

पहलगाम गोल्फ कोर्स: घाटी के पास एक और बड़ी और आकर्षण से भरी जगह  पहलगाम गोल्फ कोर्स बेताब घाटी से 15 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित है। अपने आसपास के दृश्यों, आबोहवा और ऊंचाई के कारण, यह सबसे सौंदर्यबोध मनभावन गोल्फ कोर्स में से एक है। 

शेषनाग झील: शेषनाग झील कश्मीर की सबसे सौन्दर्य से भरपूर मोहक झीलों में से एक है। यह दुनिया भर के लोगों को अपनी सौंदर्यता से आकर्षित करता है। 3,590 मीटर की ऊंचाई पे स्थित है।

Betab Valley (बेताब घाटी) की सैर पे जाने का सबसे अच्छा समय

अक्टूबर से अप्रैल माह के बीच के समय को बेताब घाटी की मुलाकात लेने के लिए श्रेष्ठ समय मानने में आता है। इस समय के दौरान, हवामान तो सुखद होता ही हे किन्तु इसके साथ आपको कश्मीर की श्रेष्ठ बेताब घाटी का अवलोक करने के लिए मिलता है। मुलाकातिओ समान्य रूप से  २ से ३ घंटे यहां बिताते हे। इसकी मनमोहक नयनरम्य सुंदरता को देख के प्रयटकों को स्वर्ग में घूमने का सपना यहाँ पे जैसे साकार हो रहा हो ऐसा प्रतीत होता है।
