The Essence of Surya Namaskar

Understanding the Basics

Surya Namaskar is not just an exercise routine; it's a spiritual journey that aligns your mind, body, and soul. Derived from Sanskrit, "Surya" means sun, and "Namaskar" translates to salutation. It involves a sequence of twelve postures performed in a rhythmic flow, each corresponding to a specific mantra. The practice is often performed facing the rising sun, symbolizing a sense of gratitude and harnessing the sun's energy.

Unveiling the Benefits of Surya Namaskar

Physical Rejuvenation

Surya Namaskar is a full-body workout that engages various muscle groups. From flexing and stretching to balancing and toning, each posture offers distinct advantages. This practice enhances blood circulation, boosts metabolism, and improves flexibility. Regular practice can help in weight management and reducing the risk of chronic ailments.

Mental Equilibrium

Beyond physical benefits, Surya Namaskar greatly contributes to mental wellness. The synchronized breathing and fluid movements calm the mind, alleviating stress and anxiety. The practice serves as a moving meditation, promoting mental clarity and sharpening focus.

Spiritual Connection

Surya Namaskar's roots in yoga connect the practitioner with their inner self. The sequence's mantras pay homage to the sun's energy and its symbolism of vitality. Engaging in this practice fosters a sense of spirituality, grounding you in the present moment and inviting mindfulness into your life.

Yoga : The wellness Mantra | 4 Paths of Yoga | For An Ultimate Union

When you experience everything equally in your consciousness, you are in yoga

Have you ever wondered how to get rid of all your little to not-so-little bodily or say physical pains, about your mental afflictions and how to overcome them, about your spiritual well-being, and about fulfilling a quality life? - What will all this look like for you? By dedicating time and being honest? Yoga lets you know all this and much more. Harness the body, access the mind, heal the root – the transformative benefits of yoga come as a result.

Yoga for weight loss

To comfort, soothe, restore and strengthen your physical existence, allow yourself to be tempted by promises that strengthen and heal your health. With prolonged practice, make it an essential part of your life; It will work as a regenerative and rejuvenating force in more ways than you can count.

Let yoga be your guiding light to discover the different layers and depths of your existence while unleashing your full potential. your mind, body, and soul; Yoga transcends and replenishes your existence to its entirety. In no time can you agree more with, 'Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind

Composed of the Sanskrit word "Yuji", which means yoke or union, yoga is an ancient practice that brings the mind and body together. This includes breathing exercises, meditation, and poses designed to encourage relaxation, and reduce stress.

Yoga - An Ultimate Union

Whenever we say "yoga," for many people it probably means some impossible body postures. That is not what we are talking about here. Yoga simply means to be in a rhythm or complete rhythm. When you are in yoga, your body, mind, energy, and existence are in perfect harmony. When your body and mind are at rest and at a certain level of bliss, you can be free from many dangerous diseases. Suppose you are sitting in your office with a headache. Your headache is not a major illness, but it can reduce your enthusiasm, attachment to work, and perhaps some of your efficiency for that day. But with regular practice of yoga, your body and mind can be kept at the highest possible peak.

4 Types of Yoga for the 4 Reality of Life

These are the only four realities in your life: body, mind, emotion, and energy. Whatever you want to do with yourself, it should be through these four mediums. Whatever you want to do, you can do it only with your body, mind, emotions, or your energy. These are the only four ways you can achieve something: through karma, jnana, bhakti, or kriya - body, mind, emotion, or energy. "No, no, I am on the path of faith. I don't need to do anything else." Is there anyone who has only a head, no heart, hands, and energy? Is there anyone who only has a heart and not everything else? The answer is no, in any way you are the sum of these four things.

My point is only that, in one person the heart may be dominant, in another person the head may be dominant, and in another person, the hands may be dominant, but each person is a combination of these four. So you need to sum or say the combination of these four. It works best for you only if it is mixed in the right way. For any one person, the combination of saying that the mixture works, if the same mixture is given to another person, then it will not prove to be good for him. Because there is variation in individual personality traits, there is so much pressure on a living master on the spiritual path. He mixes the perfect cocktail for you, otherwise, there's no punch.

Bhakti yoga

If you try to reach the highest peak using your emotions, we call it Bhakti Yoga – the path of devotion.

ganan yoga

If you try to reach the highest peak by using your intelligence, we call it Jnana Yoga - that is, the path of intelligence.

karma yoga

If you use your body, or bodily action, to reach the highest peak (to the ultimate), we call it Karma Yoga - that is, the path of action.

kriya yoga

If you transform your energy and try to reach the ultimate (the highest peak), we call it Kriya Yoga – that is, inner action.

Bhakti Yoga

Bhakti or Shraddha or Yoga of complete faith is Bhakti Yoga. This faith and devotion are usually in some form or the other in God or the Supreme Consciousness. It can be Lord Rama, Krishna, Christ, Mohammed, Buddha, etc. It can be a guru for his disciples.

Bhakti Yoga for Meditation
Bhakti Yoga
The important thing is that the person who wants to follow this path should have a very strong emotional bond with the object of faith and devotion. The flow of emotional energy is conducive to leading towards this object. Most people do not show their feelings and as a result, they often fall prey to some physical and mental disorders. This Bhakti yoga helps to release those suppressed feelings and brings about the purification of the inner-self.

Continuing meditation on God or the object of belief gradually lowers one's ego, which prevents further new distractions, restlessness, or pain of the mind, and inspires stronger bonds of love.

Jnana Yoga

The process of converting intellectual knowledge into practical knowledge is Jnana Yoga. It is an exploration of human religion about nature and the universe. Jnana Yoga has traditionally been described as a state of supreme meditation and a means of attaining inner wisdom.

Gyan literally means 'knowledge', but in the case of yoga, it means the process of meditative awareness that leads to stronger knowledge. It is not a way of finding rational answers to eternal questions that we strive for, but it is a part of meditation leading to self-inquiry and self-realization.

Yoga for inner unity
Janan Yoga

Some of the components of Jnana Yoga are:

don't believe but realize

Self-awareness leads to self-analysis

experience of knowledge

understanding the individual nature

development of instincts

experience of inner unity

Karma Yoga

The path of surrender to action is Karma Yoga. One loses his identity while doing work, only selfless work remains. It is very difficult to get this position. The ultimate goal of Karma Yoga is to become a complete instrument of action and non-attachment to the Supreme Consciousness in this tremendous universe. In this state, work becomes worship of God, becomes spiritual, and one becomes an expert, skilled, and also a yogi. He attains concentration and stability of mind in all situations, he does not get upset or excited, or happy in any situation. He becomes divine and his actions represent the will of God.

In the early stages of Karma Yoga, there is a strong sense of ego within the individual and this is associated, consciously or unconsciously, with the fruits of one's efforts, or at least appreciation or recognition, but with regular involvement in the work and a mental attitude. Changes in the individual can certainly be different. From the ego itself and from the personality itself.

The essence of Karma yoga, extracted from the Bhagavad Gita, states: The world is bound by its activity, except when the deeds are performed as worship of the Lord. So every action should be done sincerely and free from one's attachments with results.

Kriya Yoga

The word Kriya means 'activity' or 'motion' and here Kriya Yoga refers to the activity or movement of consciousness. Kriya Yoga originated in ancient times and developed over time through study and experience. The full form of Kriya Yoga includes more than 70 Kriyas, of which only 20 or more are commonly known.

By practical or preliminary study leading to complete integration, action means the final result of the study. Kriya Yoga does not control psychic fluctuations, but purposefully creates activity and awareness in the consciousness. In this way, all the vidyas are simultaneously objection and develop to their full potential.

Swami Satyananda Sarasvati propagated the practice of Kriya Yoga from the secret teachings described in the Yoga and Tantra scriptures. The Kriyas taught by Satyananda Yoga is one of two systems of Kriya Yoga that are accepted throughout the world, the other being that of Paramahansa Yogananda.

bhakti yog

Janan yoga

karma yoga
karma

Kriya Yoga
Kriya
